Roy Jafari, PhD, is a scientist, educator, and writer driven by a simple but important question: How can we make better decisions?

With a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Mississippi State University, Roy has built a career that brings together artificial intelligence, data science, optimization, and decision-making. He currently teaches at the University of Redlands School of Business & Society.

Roy also created Deep Decision Lab, a place where he explores big questions about decision-making, AI, human psychology, and consciousness. Through his YouTube channel and the Deep Decision Substack newsletter, he challenges conventional thinking and shares ideas for thinking more clearly, making wiser choices, and thriving in a world increasingly shaped by AI.

Outside of his work, Roy enjoys improv, spontaneous experiences, and meaningful conversations about life and its many complexities.
